I am very excited to announce that Queen of Olympos: A Devotional Anthology for Hera and Iuno is now available via Amazon.com. This anthology, the fourth to date that something I have submitted has been publishe, explores the often misunderstood long suffering "wife" of Zeus (and his Roman counterpart, Jupiter). However, as readers will discover, there is so much more to Hera/Iuno that what is commonly considered today.
Hera was much loved in ancient Greece. Worship of the Queen of the Milky Way spread from Argos to the sacred isle of Samos, from the mountains of Asia Minor to the shores of Carthage, from the hills of Rome to the banks of the Thames.
Her titles were numerous - "Queen of the Starry Heavens", "Queen of the Gods", " Bearer of the Lotus Staff", "Bearer of the Pomegranate", "Goddess of Marriage", "Mistress of the Spring Rains" ... and so many more.
Throughout the pages of this anthology, the love and admiration for Mother of Gods and men is expressed through the poems and hymns, essays and rituals, artwork and music. I am excited about this anthology because it includes my devotional poem to Hera, being the first piece of poetry I've had published in over 20 years.
