This year, 2014, is the 432nd year of the Gregorian calendar has arrived and with it, the promise of fresh starts and exciting events, all under the influence of a new moon in the astrological sign of Capricorn that draws our attention back to assuring that we focus on our foundational work. As Bekah Finch Turner reminds us, any resolutions we make for this coming year, should reflect our "true" goals as opposed to the resolutions we make that subconsciousnessly we never mean to keep.
As the new year is commencing, now is the time to consider our own "physical" world - what do we really want? What is our long term dream? Are we living the life that we want to live? If not, what do we need to do to achieve this?
The astrological sign of Capricorn is best for goals around the physical and material. Now is the perfect time to undertake some serious life direction contemplations. When we do this, we also need to be practical in our goals, as well as believing in our own selves and the ability that we have.
The numerological influence for this year is the number "7", an introverted and deeply spiritual number that prompts us to question things on a deeper level in order to discern what is true and what is not. Maybe it is time to face reality and to see beyond what we believe is the "truth"? Maybe it is time to take a moment to listen more to our own inner voice, our gut reactions to things, as well as being more trusting when we feel like we are being guided by "higher forces".
Inspired by the above quote from Abraham Lincoln, this year, The Goddess House will be offering a number of wonderful events that are aimed at assisting participants to connect with the Divine Feminine, the Goddess, through her numerous aspects and guises. Commencing in January with the annual Blessing of the Waters in honour of Yemaya (which is a free event), registrations for the Brighid's Sacred Fires of Healing and Transformation are now being accepted through Paypal.
Whatever you plan to achieve durign 2014, may the Goddess bestow you with her blessings.
