After a number of months of preparation, the recommencement of devotional services to the Great Goddess held at The Goddess House is fast approaching ... next Tuesday evening as a matter of fact.
Rarely do we, especially women, allow time for ourselves, and even less time for our own spirituality. More often than not we are caught up doing spiritual work for someone else, in ways which may not necessary hold any real connection to us. Or when we find that we do have time on our hands, the problem arises as to where to start ... These devotional services that are be held at The Goddess House are aimed to provide a solution to that.
Allowing women to take an hour and a half out for themselves once per month is not a lot to ask for. In providing a friendly and supportive venue, it is my aim as Priestess in Residence to help those women who attend these services to connect with the Great Goddess, the Divine Feminine, through whatever guise or aspect that they feel comfortable.
Throughout history, the Divine Feminine was been known by numerous names, spanning the diversity of human spiritual and religious beliefs, from the known to the unknown and forgotten, from the real to the abstract. When today in the fast paced 21st century, She is around us, with us, and even worshipped within various cultures. This means that the whole concept of the Divine Feminine, the Great Goddess, cannot simply be dismissed as some romantic notion of a distant age .. She is very real today as She has always been.
Regardless of background, spiritual or religious persuasion, if you feel the call to honour the Great Goddess through the sacred act of a devotional service, then you are welcome to attend at The Goddess House on the second Tuesday evening of each month were such services, together with a healing circle and the sharing of sacred Goddess lore will be undertaken.
