Getting the Creative Juices Flowing

Over recent months there have been a number of ideas with respect of what The Goddess House will be interested in offering once we properly resume again in the Spring.
There is also a possibility of holding a series of crafting workshops.  The first of these will be taking place on Saturday, 28 May 2016 where people will have the opportunity to make their own Protection Bottle (also known as a "Wytch's Bottle").

These bottles have been used for many centuries with the first documented use appearing in the 17th century (although their actual use is believed to pre-date this).  These bottles were used as a means of protecting the home from negative influences, curses, hexes, and the "Evil Eye". Today, such bottles are used primarily as decoys to attract, absorb, confuse and defuse negative psychic energy being sent.

Making a Protection Bottle Workshop run from 10.30am until 1.00pm and is open to all.  If you are a parent of a child (ie under the age of 14) or a young person (aged 14 to 16 years) who is interested in attending, please notify the Priestess in Residence upon registering.

The cost of this workshop is only $20 which will include notes, herbs and resins, sealing wax, parchment and nearly all other materials needed.
Participants will need to bring a small jar (a Masterfoods herb jar is ideal).

The Goddess House is located at the rear of a private residence in Parafield Gardens.   If you would like to attend or have any queries, please email Frances for the address.

There are limited positions available.

Other crafting workshops proposed to be offered by The Goddess House will include:
** Making your own personal Goddess medallion

** Crafting your own set of mala inspired beads
** Mask making
** Ojo de Dios ("God's Eyes")
** Crafting a God or Goddess figurine in your own image

and much more.

At this stage, these crafting workshops are expected to be held on Saturday.  However, if there is an interest, they can also be repeated on selective evenings.

To find out more about these crafting workshops, follow The Goddess House on Facebook or email Frances to be added to our mailing list.
