Sister Moon Circles

A lot has happened over the last 12 months and now with the new calendar year fast approaching, pieces are in the process of being picked up again.  One of the first things that will be on offer in 2017  are the Sister Moon Circles.

Commencing on Friday, 27 January 2016 (the Friday closest to the first new moon of the new year) these circles will be open to women of all ages and backgrounds who desire to gather together in order to explore and share various aspects of life that relates, nourishes and strengthens our own personal connectedness to the feminine energy in our modern world.

As I mentioned in a previous posting, as my personal interests include metaphysics and mythology, these two aspects will form a basic underlying to the Sister Moon Circles that will commence in 2017, whilst also respecting the comfort levels of those women who participate.  As such, a basic breakdown may include some or even all of the following:
  • Gathering around a central space (this may include the blessing of the room and ourselves in order to harness the sacredness of the time we come together as well as removing any negative energies);
  • Undertaking a short relaxation exercise that will focus on the breath to assist in centring and grounding before the circle truly commences;
  • Sharing of specific Goddess myths and stories that relate to the chosen theme for the circle;
  • Reciting a prayer or chant (such as mantra) that will assist in connecting with one of the chosen aspects of the Divine Feminine;
  • Participating in a guided meditation to discover a specific place or gain insight that is connected to the chosen theme for that circle;
  • Craft or some other activity - from mandala construction to making a specific item, to even undertaking "sacred dancing".
There will also be time set aside for personal sharing and discussion of the chosen theme, the shared myths/stories, etc.
More information about the Sister Moon Circles can be found here or you can email me (putting "Sister Moon Circles " in the subject line).
