April marks the return to the Full Moon Gatherings that are held during the winter months in Adelaide's beautiful Botanic Park, and what a rather auspicious occasion this month's Gathering will be with the moon being called a "blood moon".
According to NASA, the total lunar eclipse will turn the full moon a coppery red in colour, one of four such moons during the next 18 months, with the other dates being 8 October 2014, 4 April 2015, and 28 September 28 2015.

Here in Australia, we will still be able to see at least part of Tuesday evening's eclipse, especially those of us residing in the eastern and central states (Western Australia misses out entirely according to Astroblogger, which also lists various times for places both within Australia and New Zealand to witness the eclipse).
Although most of the eclipse occurs in the twilight, it will still be interesting to watch. The eclipsed moon at twilight has an entirely different look to a normal rising moon with the pearly light replaced with a coppery-red glow. You will need a flat, clear horizon (especially in the central states), but for those with an eastern sea view, the sight of the eclipsed moon rising from the sea like a bubble of blood will be amazing.
When working with the lunar energies always keep in mind that those energies are heightened and intensified during a lunar eclipse. Tuesday's full moon will be passing through the astrological sign of Libra, where, according to Soul Passages Astrology, it will be emphasizing relationships of all kinds. Full moons reveal situations where you may be seeing things more clearly, as the lunar energy is linked to emotions, security needs and our habit patterns. This month's full moon therefore may be shining a silvery light onto a new path you are meant to take in life.
